I love this site. Scribd is the largest social publishing companies in the world. Tens of millions of people each month publish original writings and documents which include PDF, Wordk PowerPoint and Excel. You have the ability to create a user profile, build a community and publish your documents. There is alot of good information out there, the new digital library.

Documents published on Scribd are accessible to Scribd's community of readers, indexed by search engines, and easily embedded and shared on thousands of other Websites, including Twitter and Facebook. Many leading media companies and businesses distribute content through Scribd, including The New York Times, Ford Motor Company, Simon & Schuster, O'Reilly, World Bank, Chicago Tribune, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and more.

Being a geek and reviewing software is a real passion of mine. I like software that is easy to use, figure out without reading a book and does not mess up my computer. Tweetdeck is one of those products. It is simple for the day to day user and great for people like me who wants to know everything about everyone. You really need to check it out. Works great on the IPhone.

This article at National Geographic gives a good gist of what's going on: apparently, regular old blue food coloring, like the stuff you find in Gatorade or M&Ms, has been found to reduce spinal cord trauma and inflammation, leading to at least a partial reversal of paralysis, at least in some mice. And, unlike other treatments, there's no toxic effects.

And the best part? They turned blue! Now there's hope for anyone hoping to both regain use of paralyzed limbs and a desire to look like a really cold guy in a cartoon.
